Open Netscape and click on Edit at the top. Choose Preferences from the menu. On the Preferences screen, expand the list below Mail and Newsgroups by clicking on the plus sign beside it. Click on Identity and you will be presented with the screen below. Fill out the information as shown.
After the information has been filled in, click on Mail Servers in the category list on the left. Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and username as shown below.
If there is a server listed under Incoming Mail Servers, highlight the server and click on Edit to the right of the white box. If no server is listed, click on Add. In either case, make sure that the information is entered as shown below.
After the information has been entered, click on OK until you are back to the Netscape main window. The program has now been configured and is ready to send and receive email.
