Open Outlook Express. Click on Tools at the top and select Accounts from the menu. Click on New in the upper right corner of the Accounts window and select News. The Internet Connection Wizard will then start.

On the first screen, enter your name as shown below. What you enter here will show up in the "from" section of any newsgroup posts you make. You can use a nickname or alias if you choose. Click on Next to proceed to the next step.

Enter your email address where indicated. Click Next.

Enter the news (NNTP) server as shown below. The server name is news.webdsi.com. My news server requires me to log on should not be checked. Click on Next to continue.

Click on Finish to complete the configuration and return to the Accounts window.

Click on Close on the Accounts window. A prompt will appear asking you if you would like Outlook Express to download the list of newsgroups available on the server. Click Yes, and the download will begin. It may take a few minutes. After this process is complete, you will see the list of newsgroups available, and may search them and subscribe.
