To begin configuring your DSI internet connection on WindowsXP, open the Control Panel and select Network Connections. Under Network Tasks, click on Create a new connection as shown in the image below. The New Connection Wizard will then be launched. ![]() The opening screen of the New Connection Wizard will be as shown below. Click on Next to begin configuration. ![]() Under Network Connection Type, select Connect to the Internet and click on Next. ![]() On the next screen, choose Set up my connection manually and then click on Next. ![]() Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click on Next. ![]() Under Select a Device, all modems installed on your computer will be listed. Check the box beside the modem you will be using, and then click on Next. ![]() Under Connection Name, type "DSI" in the box as shown below. Click Next. ![]() Under Phone Number to Dial, you will need to enter the phone number that corresponds to your location. Refer to the list below to choose the number closest to you:
After you have entered the phone number, click Next. ![]() Internet Account Information will be the next screen. Enter your username and password in the three boxes shown below. The three options may be checked or not, depending on your preference. Click Next. ![]() On the final screen, check the box labeled Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and then click on Finish to complete the wizard. ![]() From your desktop, double-click on the DSI icon and click on Dial to establish your internet connection.
